Choose ProPrices are per month. On Growth and Pro the website build is free if you stay twelve months — on Starter, or on a bigger build than usual, there may be a one-off fee. Whatever it is, you will know the number before you agree to anything.

The free build
Where's thecatch?
A website that would normally cost £500 to £1,500 to build costs you nothing upfront on Growth and Pro. The only condition is that you stay on the plan for twelve months.
That’s the whole deal. I give up the upfront fee, you commit to a year, and we both get something predictable. If you cancel before the twelve months are up, the waived build fee becomes payable — otherwise the offer wouldn’t be possible.
On Starter the margin is thinner, so there’s usually a small one-off build fee of £150–£300 instead. And if what you need is genuinely bigger than a normal build, there may be a fee on the higher plans too. Either way you will be told the exact number before you agree to anything — I’m not going to send you a surprise invoice.
After your twelve months you’re month to month. Give a month’s notice and that’s the end of it. Your domain is registered in your name and goes with you.

You might well do. But when someone new asks their mates for a recommendation, the next thing they do is Google you — and if there's nothing there, they scroll to whoever is. A website doesn't replace word of mouth, it catches the people word of mouth sends who then want to check you're real.
It's about the price of two haircuts a month, and on Growth and Pro there's nothing to pay upfront at all. If it brings you one extra customer a week it has paid for itself several times over. If money's tight, Starter is £99 and does the essential job.
That is exactly the point of paying someone. I need about ten minutes of your time at the start for your details and photos, and then a look at the draft before it goes live. After that you do nothing — you carry on working and I keep the site running.
Facebook is genuinely useful and I'm not going to tell you to drop it. But you don't own it, it can change the rules whenever it likes, and it doesn't put you on Google Maps. A website works alongside your page and catches the people who will never find you on Facebook.
Usually because nobody touched it after it went live. Prices went out of date, the hours were wrong, and Google stopped bothering with it. The monthly fee here exists specifically so that doesn't happen — the site stays current because keeping it current is my job.
On Growth and Pro, yes — the build costs you nothing if you stay on the plan for twelve months. If you leave early, the waived build fee becomes payable, which is the only thing that makes the offer possible. On Starter there's usually a small one-off fee instead, and a bigger-than-usual build may carry one too. You'll always be told the number before you agree.
After your twelve months you're month to month — give me a month's notice and that's that. Your domain is in your name and goes with you. I'll help move the site somewhere else if you want it.
That's where most of my clients are and where I can walk in and see you. But everything here works perfectly well over the phone and email, so if you're elsewhere in the UK do get in touch — you'll just get fewer visits and more video calls.
